Fire Service Rescue Service EMS Service

Welcome to the Hancock Fire Department EMS page!  We are going to make every effort to keep you updated on our progress and upcoming events.

This project started as a culmination of ideas from many of our members and our officers.  We researched every angle, called anyone we could think of for information, and no matter what we heard, or whom we heard it from it was apparent that there was a need, and with that need, we moved forward.

We met with the Select Board, and spoke to the folks around town.  Our principal is this, we are closer to you than the ambulance crews, we are willing to help you at any time of the day or night, and we have the skills and abilities to make a difference.

We are not going to be taking you to the hospital. We are strictly a non-transporting service.  However, we will be there by your side, beginning what the ambulance is going to finish.  It has been proven time and time again that rapid access to Emergency care is paramount to survival in cases of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).  We have that ability here in town and the training to use it properly.

Our members have a wide variety of training from simple bandaging to Advanced Life Support skills like cardiac monitoring and IV access.  We are prepared for just about anything.

Trust in us that the ambulance is coming, but don’t be surprised when a few firefighters walk through your door looking to help you in your moment of need.

The following is a list of our members and their license levels, those with a “*” are new to the EMS world and have endured over 50 hours of training simply because they want to make Hancock a better and safer place to live.
