Hello, I know it's a bit late, but I'd like to submit some sports news. On July 29th, 2006 the Hancock Volunteer Fire dept hosted it's 6th Annual Golf Tournament at the White Birches Golf Club.  An 18 hole, best ball scramble was held with 10 teams of 4 from all around the area participating.

A great day was on hand with the weather cooperating 100%, with a nice breeze and lots of sunshine. After 18 holes the winners were

1st place in the Firefighter's team challenge went to Hancock VFD's Team #2 with Bob Peterson Sr, Bob Peterson Jr, John Walsh, Johan "Pinky" Donovan.

Bob Jackson won the closest to the pin contest and took home a gift certificate to Cadillac Mountain Sports.
