Three car MVA at Carrying Place Route 1

This accident occurred May of 2004. Injuries included burns, cuts and broken bones. The 3 vehicles involved were all burned. Thanks to Life Flight for their help. Thanks also to County ambulance, Lamoine fire, Sorrento Fire.

These photos are from a one car MVA  on Rt 1 the car sheared a pole and the "Jaws of Life " were used to extricate the patient from the wreck.

Dump Truck roil over on Route 182

A dump truck heading into Hancock, rolled over after mechanical failure. Here are some photos from that call.

Fatal Accident on Rt 1 

A two car accident took the life of a Hancock man. these are the photos from that scene.

These photos are of a winter rescue at the White Birches. Since this rescue children are not allowed to go sledding at the Birches. Note: This is one of our members child.

These next photos  are from a structure fire on Spring Pond Rd. in Hancock. This happened Spring of 2006.

These Photos  were taken by Chief Holmes the day after a garage on the East Side road burned. There was an fuel oil tank truck parked next to the garage. Quick action by the owner, and Hancock's Fire Dept members, the office building, and house adjacent to the garage  were both un touched by fire, or smoke.

 Replace your smoke detector batteries regularly.

Fall Clean-up is approaching. All open burning requires a burn permit. Call Charlie Wheeler at 422-6860 or Bing Lounder at422-6821 to obtain a permit 

Remember the Town office or the Fire Chief cannot issue Burn Permits.

 The next monthly EMS meeting is Sept 8, 2008 at Station 2 1830 hrs.
